India’s Tamil Nadu Cements Corp Ltd has completed the erection of a 1Mta plant in Ariyalur, with 95 per cent of the total work now completed. The Tamil Nadu government has recently scaled down its procurement for the ‘Amma Cement Supply Scheme’ as a result of poor sales figures, according to The Hindu. FLSmidth has signed a contract with Larsen & Tourbro Ltd for the engineering and supply of equipment for a 3000tpd cement production line. The new plant will be located in Ariyalur, approximately 300km south of Chennai.
